Making ‘cocktails’ - from the simplest to the most complex - requires a range of tools, for measuring, mixing, and serving the mixed beverage of your choice, whether or not it includes alcohol. Organizing that range of tools, in one spot and ready for immediate use, can be a complicated task in itself, which can be simplified by having several, if not all, of those tools combined into a single unit. The clever folks at Tovolo figured that out … and designed their Cocktail Shaker for maximum versatility, from the start to the pour!
The Cocktail Shaker has 4 component pieces: a sleek, tapered main body in brushed stainless steel, a strainer and pour-spout combination, a click-in reamer for juicing directly into the main body, and a jigger with inside measurements that doubles as a cap for a tight seal of the entire unit, for secure shaking. And the platform in bottom of the shaker allows ice to be broken up easily and allows liquid to move fluidly around ice, chilling the drink more quickly
Each of these components attaches firmly to the others: the main body is marked to show how to turn the strainer/spout on its bayonet-style mount to the locked position, the reamer snaps easily in and out of multiple positions on the strainer/spout, and the jigger/cap mounts firmly on the gasket inside the strainer/spout. The jigger/cap can be placed without the reamer in place for shaking, or with the reamer in place for convenient storage of the fully-assembled unit. Be sure to dry all pieces thoroughly before storing: we can attest to the excellent moisture retention by the seals between each of the components!
The main body holds up to 24 US ounces/~710ml, and the jigger shows measurements of 1 and 2 US ounces/~30-60ml, with room to spare!
