We’re big fans of the way that a little bit of citrus juice can brighten the flavors in almost any dish. But sometimes getting a little bit evenly distributed throughout the dish is a challenge. You can squeeze the citrus over the dish, or pour it on after you’ve juiced it, but that just doesn’t get the subtle result you want. So how do you get just a hint of lemon on your kale chips or just a hint of lime on your homemade tortilla chips?
Well, the folks at Joie came up with a genius solution (and I find myself reaching for it way more often than I thought I would.) They have a small, compact juicer with a very effective reamer (the part that twirls around in your citrus and gets the juice out) and measurements on the side of the container. After you’ve reamed your juice, you remove the reamer and snap on a sprayer … and Presto! Your container is transformed into a very effective sprayer for your fresh citrus juice. If you don’t use up all the juice, the container - with the sprayer attached - sits closed in your refrigerator for up to a week, to use whenever you need a spritz of fresh citrus juice.
The Citrus Squeeze and Mist from Joie is a brilliant multi-functional tool: it reams, juices, sprays and stores … and it takes up very little room. Once you have it, you’ll wonder how you ever got along without it. This is indeed a very Cool Tool!
