Progressive Collapsible Mini Funnels
The funnel is the Rodney Dangerfield of the kitchen--it gets no respect! But if you don’t have one, you wind up chasing peppercorns around the kitchen counter or wiping up a lot of spills. So what makes a funnel a great funnel, and, even more than that, a Cool Tool?
First it needs a wide top so you can pour stuff in without spilling, and a narrow base, but not so narrow that you have to sit there with a skinny bamboo skewer to make stuff move through the funnel to its ultimate destination. Next, it should rest in the target receptacle securely -- there is nothing more annoying than putting a funnel in a bottle and beginning to pour your olive oil (for example) and then, suddenly, the funnel gets top-heavy and falls over--it’s happened to us … and it’s not a pretty sight! Last, but not least, if it could take up less room when you aren’t using it, that would be a major storage plus.
