Well, a small new company named Dandy has.
The Dandy Scooper Duper (OK, not loving the name, but we are loving the product!) solves this problem elegantly, at a reasonable price, while taking up very little room in your kitchen. It’s a food grade bench scraper, with a difference! First it’s large and sturdy enough to cut on when you need just a small cutting surface. But what’s really unique is that it folds - using just your thumb of one hand - to transport and funnel your cut food into the place you want to deliver it.
And beyond the uses shown on the video, I’ve found numerous other uses: one of my favorites is using it when I make the Amazing Almond Cake: to distribute the sliced almonds evening over the top of the cake.
