Opens to release the core
OK, so what could be so different about an apple corer? They have a round tube with teeth to cut through the apple, and if you’re pretty accurate, you get rid of the core and most of the seeds. I’ve used one for years, and never thought much about it... except when I had to stick my finger in between those sharp little teeth to dislodge the last piece of core. And while I never actually injured myself, I always felt a bit apprehensive.
