I never thought much about differences in whisks...at least not until we started this business. We had a handful, and we’d reach for one that was about the right length and was either metal, if we weren’t whisking in a non-stick container, or nylon or silicone, if we were.
But about the time we started testing products to share with all of you, we also started on the French Dukan Diet, which focuses on a lot of low-fat and non-fat protein. Our daily morning meal has become a savory crepe, in which you whisk together things that don’t combine naturally: oat bran, faux fromage frais and eggs with seasonings (see the recipe in this Friday’s Newsletter). Now the whisk we use has become much more important...and we’ve found a good one!
